House of the Dragon Season 3

This is Tower of the Hand's official open thread for House of the Dragon Season 3. Inspired by George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood book, House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen during a tumultuous period for Westeros, 200 before the events of Game of Thrones.

The newest season of HBO's original drama series debuts Sunday, June 21, at 9 PM ET on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. The eight-episode season will air new episodes weekly, leading up to the season finale on August 9.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1

This is Tower of the Hand's official open thread for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. HBO's newest foray into Westeros adapts the first of three short novels from George R. R. Martin, set nearly a hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones (and about 80 years after House of the Dragon). The first season will have 6 episodes; a second season has already been ordered by HBO. Feel free to discuss all the episodes in this thread. Enjoy the show!

Broadcast Schedule

January 18 - "The Hedge Knight" - On his journey to the forthcoming tournament in Ashford, Dunk meets a clever young boy named Egg, who offers to be his squire. Written for Television by Ira Parker; Directed by Owen Harris
January 25 - "Hard Salt Beef" - Dunk appeals to various lords in order to gain entrance into the tournament, but Egg advises him to hold onto his pride; the Targaryens arrive at Ashford.
February 1 - "The Squire" - As Dunk and Egg take in the tourney's first full day of events, Dunk receives a proposition that could secure his future.
February 8 - "The Seven" - After landing himself in the Targaryens' crosshairs, Dunk exercises his right to request a trial by combat.
February 15 - "In the Name of the Mother" - Dunk's mettle is put to the test in the brutal trial of seven, while a flashback reveals how he found himself drawn to the promise of a new future.
February 22 - "The Morrow" - As Ashford mourns a great loss, Dunk considers his next move... and whether to keep Egg as his squire.
